Keen bakers are hoping to make funds rise on Sunday September 4th in aid of Hinxton's historic water mill.

Saved from demolition in the 1980s by a campaign started by Hinxton residents, the mill is now run by the charity Cambridge Past Present and Future as a working museum. It is the smallest of its kind in Cambridgeshire and the only operating water mill left on the uppermost reaches of the River Cam.

Volunteers will serve homemade cakes and teatime favourites along with free refill cups of tea and coffee from 2.30-5 pm at Hinxton Village Hall in the High Street, to coincide with a regular open afternoon at the mill, just off Mill Lane.
